The Department of Emergency Medicine is proud to sponser an innovative two year fellowship in Administration. The fellowship was jointly created by Dr. Mark Moseley and Dr. Gary Katz; administrative faculty and leaders in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Our vision was to create a unique training program that helped to differentiate our fellows as thought leaders in our speciality by providing them a rigorous individualized executive training curriculum. While other ED Administrative Fellowships have focused primarily on managerial or medical director skill sets, the focus of our fellowship is to provide a comprehensive training program that will afford the fellow a broad range of educational and experiential opportunities to build leadership competencies. Mark Moseley, MD, MHA, FACEP serves as the fellowship program director.
The Department of Emergency Medicine, OSU Physicians, Inc
, the Ohio State University Medical Center
, and the Ohio State University
provide an unparalleled educational environment for the fellowship. Fellows practice clinically as faculty members in our two Emergency Departments and gain clinical experience as a junior academic attending. Operational skills sets and project management experiences are enhanced through longitudinal operations and strategic department projects for which the fellow has primary over site. The fellow also works closely with the program directors to identify key committee experiences, medical director tasks, board of director involvement, and educational and research project and projects that would be educationally advantageous. The fellow also gets to work closely with the executive leadership of the Department (Chairman, Vice-Chairs, Medical Directors), OSU Physicians, Inc, as well as the Medical Center to further the goals of the clinical and business enterprise.
We seek future leaders in the specialty, and outstanding applicants are encouraged to apply. For further information regarding the fellowship, please contact Dr. Mark Moseley
